The latest sequel of the popular film franchise arrived in the form of an 8-episode limited series on December 22, 2022.
Serving as the conclusion of a narrative that dates back to the 1999’s ‘The Best Man,’ the show reunited original cast members Morris Chestnut, Taye Diggs, Regina Hall, Terrence Howard, Nia Long, Sanaa Lathan, Melissa De Sousa, and Harold Perrineau.
Per Variety, audiences flocked to ‘The Final Chapters’ in a major way.
For, the series has become Peacock’s first original project to place on Nielsen’s Top 10 streaming tally.
Per Nielsen / NBC, the show launched at #5 on the Top 10 Streaming Originals chart for the frame Dec. 19-25.
In doing so, it’s become Peacock’s biggest-ever series debut – besting the premiere of ‘Bel-Air.’ It’s presently also the #1 streaming series for Black audiences.
